D&AD Student Awards: Metro Brief

I have chosen to create an advertisment for the Metro newspaper, externally set by the D&AD student awards competition. The brief was to design a series of 3 posters for the bus/ tube straplines/ the underground poster space, and it has to cut through the visual noise that commuters face everyday to promote the Metro newspapers.

I was playing around wish the idea of how diverse commuters are around London, and was also projecting into the future to come up with concepts of a new transport system.

Damien Hirst Aint Dead Yet...

This is for my latest client Anthony Weir a script writer who has asked me to animate his short story called "Damien Hirst aint dead yet!", its an attack on the new contempory art world.
These are a few initial concept for sets and scenes.

This is going to be the inital establishing shot (colours are not going to be used!) and will pan down into the pub at the bottom, it will also have a train running across the middle to break up the scene and i have used the arches from the bridge to draw your eye down to the pub.
I have uploaded both the initial colour pallette, and the image using textures to show how much of a difference textures can make to an image.
